Nutrition is the best way to get and keep a healthy body composition.
Good nutrition leads to great muscle definition and safe weight loss or weight gain. Here are six simple steps to a great body.
1) Eat equal amounts of healthy protein (lean meat or fish) and carbohydrates (raw fruit or whole grains) plus raw vegetables every two to three hours.
2) Eating protein first helps you lose weight, eating carbs first helps you gain or maintain weight more easily.
3) Calories ALWAYS MATTER MOST, BUT...they matter LESS as you eat more protein and less carbs.
4) Drink as much water, herb tea, green tea, jasmine tea (green tea with jasmine flowers), black tea or coffee (without cream or sugar) or other calorie free drinks you want.
Warm or hot drinks keep you feeling full longer than cold ones, so favor them.
5) Make sure to get your daily micro-nutrients (vitamins and minerals and EFA's if you don't eat much fish).
6) If you're hungry between meals:
first – use mind over matter hunger isn't malnutrition, it's outdated information.
second - drink a warm or hot calorie free drink even water;-)
third - drink a cold calorie free drink.
forth - add nutritional value to your diet by eating some / as many raw vegetables as you want.
Six meals a day is easier than you think;-)
I usually spend about 2 to 3 hours a week preparing the 42 “meals” I eat every week.
I've been successfully maintaining a six meal a day schedule for about 10 years under insane schedules and crazy conditions.
When it WAS impossible, I found alternatives that made this doable on any schedule:-)
I will share them with you soon in the healthy recipes section.
