These action plans were inspired by an email I wrote to my friend Mike after he'd asked me for some weight loss dieting advice. He told me he didn't understand the first email because it was too technical, so I wrote another one with with WHAT to think, drink and eat, but not WHY. Follow these actions and you will lose weight and have a great healthy body.

Everyone wants to do one of three things with their body:
1) Lose weight.
2) Gain weight.
3) Stay the same weight.
Choose of of these three versions to get the healthy body you want.
A) My Best Weight Loss Diet - gives you the Best Body. It's the fastest, healthiest and strictest.
B) My Better Weight Loss Diet – gives you a Better Body. It's medium fast, medium healthy, and medium strict.
C) My Good Weight Loss Diet - gives you a Good Body. It's the slowest, least healthy and the least strict.
*PLEASE NOTE*
These weight loss diets are much higher in animal proteins than most, if not all food guides suggest.
You can replace a complete protein like meat, fish, seafood, eggs or milk with two complimentary plant proteinslike beans and rice, corn and wheat, as long as you keep the calories the same.
So any time it says "protein" you can replace it with "complimentary proteins" if you prefer to eat more plants than animals.
My Good Weight Loss Diet is the most like the Healthy Eating Pyramid and the Healing Foods Pyramid both of which are healthier than either the 2009 Canada food Guide or the U.S.D.A. 2005 My Pyramid.
My Good Weight Loss Diet will give better results than the either of the current U.S. Or Canadian food guides, My Better or My Best Weight Loss Diets give faster and healthier results than My Good Weight Loss Diet:-)
The three actions are:
First - Think about what you want and how to get there. You'll learn how to have the right mindset, beliefs, and attitudes to to succeed. Virtually all people who succeed at a weight loss diet do it by having thoughts that support their fitness goals, those that don't usually fail:-?
Second – Drink LOTS of the right fluids, mostly water because it's the healthiest and most people are constantly dehydrated. About 10 years ago a friend of mine told me she lost 30 pounds in about 6 months. I said “how”?, she said “I stopped drinking six cola's a day”! Drinking can make or break your weight loss dieting efforts. Drink right to feel right.
Third – Eating is actually the least important of the three weight loss diet actiions, and yet it's STILL more important than exercise for getting or keeping a healthy body composition or weight.
Now let's ACT on this stuff!!!
To lose weight:
I Think...
about my beliefs:
- About 99% of the population has a normal, healthy metabolism so almost almost everyone can choose to lose weight. If I truly believe I have a metabolic disorder or “metabolic syndrome” I'll get tested. I can take responsibility for my own weight loss if the test shows I have normal metabolism like 99% of the world.
- My hunger isn't malnutrition if I've eaten enough nutritious food and calories (I have, unless I'm losing weight right now).
- Hunger is like an email my best friend sent me LAST YEAR, it's out of date!!
I'm not struggling to survive in the wild. Unlike our ancestors I KNOW when and where to get my next meal EVERY TIME. My brain and stomach haven't received the new email saying “I don't need to overeat to survive anymore.”
- Eating less often encourages weight gain and fat gain.
Sumo wrestlers eat two huge meals a day.
- Eating more often encourages weight loss and fat loss.
Professional body builder's with super low body fat eat 10 small meals a day!
I Think...
- about something else when I'm hungry between meals. I keep my mind busy doing something I like to do if I have that option.
If I'm hungry I:
- go for a walk.
- play a game.
- listen to music.
- actually keep busy doing my job at work;-)
- do anything that focuses on something other than my hunger.
I have a HUGH appetite and I'm often hungry no matter what I eat. The single best way I avoid feeling hungry is when I'm really interested and busy doing something, like this website:-) I have lost weight, and restarted my six pack at 42 years old.
There's lots of food three steps from where I'm sitting right now. I've lost fat because I'm really excited and interested in doing this website. BTW I've actually been exercising LESS than the usual 3 or 4 times a week (2.5 hours total) and I'm still losing fat.
I Drink...
- 8 cups or two liters of water every day.
- hot or warm drinks FIRST to PREVENT my hunger.
- iced or cold drinks IF or AFTER I eat or drink EXCESS calories. ( BUT, PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE)
- two or more cups of any calorie free drink when I feel hungry between meals.
I Eat...
- more protein than carbohydrates to lose weight faster.
- protein first, then carbohydrates to help you lose weight.
- as many low calorie vegetables as you want with your meals.
six small meals a day, every 2 to 3 hours.- all the low calorie veggies you want when you're hungry between meals AFTER you drink two cups of: - water or other calories free drinks.
- favor hot or warm first, then iced or very cold second.
- as much of you want of anything, one day a week (aka pig-out day).
My Best Body:
I Think...
- about my rewards of staying on your diet.
- I'm only x days from eating ANYTHING I WANT, I'll save my temptations for my pig out day. I can write it down if it helps;-)
- how can I always have a healthy meal ready and convenient, when I need it.
- where can I buy a healthy meal away from home ?
- what healthy foods are available at stores near my work, home and social hangouts. Even convenience stores have healthy choices:-)
- how can I stay on track if I miss a meal?
- What can I do to keep my mind USEFULLY occupied when I feel hungry between meals.
- eating when I feel hungry between meals is a choice. Choose not to.
I Drink...
- water and calorie free drinks.
- whatever I want on pig out day.
I Eat...
- more lean protein than carbohydrates.
- eat protein first then carbohydrates every meal.
- six or more meals every day.
- the same total calories every day no matter how many meals I eat.
- washed RAW fruit or “slow carbohydrates” carbohydrates only.
- as many washed RAW veggies as I want with each meal.
- as many raw veggies as I want if I get hungry between meals, AFTER I drink 2 cups of water.
- anything I want on pig out day:-)
My Better Body:
I Think...
- the same things as in the My Best Body except:
- I'll lose weight more slowly than on the Best Body Plan, but I have more freedom in my diet.
I Drink...
- the same as in the My Best Body Plan, except:
-I CAN have one to three cups of caloric drinks a day, but I don't HAVE to. I subtract my drink calories from my daily total, the left over calories are for food.
I Eat...
- more lean protein than carbohydrates or equal amounts of each.
- eat protein first then carbohydrates every meal, or I eat them at the same time.
- six small meals every day.
- the same total calories every day no matter how many meals I eat.
- washed RAW fruit or “slow carbohydrates” for my carbohydrates, but I can eat others if I want.
- whole grain carbohydrateslike whole wheat bread and brown rice.
- as many washed, RAW or cooked veggies as I want with each meal.
- as many raw veggies as I want if I get hungry between meals, AFTER I drink two cups of water.
- anything I want on pig out day:-)
Good body
I Think...
- the same things as My Best Body except:
- I'll lose weight more slowly than on the Best Body or Better Body Plan, but I have more freedom in my diet.
- This is the easiest plan for me to stick to and it's still a very healthy diet:-)
I Drink...
- the same as My Best Body and My Better Body, except:
- I can have two to four cups of caloric drinks a day.
- I subtract my drink calories from my daily total, the left over calories are for food.
I Eat...
- more lean protein than carbohydrates, or equal amounts, or less protein than carbohydrates.
- eat protein first, at the same time as carbohydrates, or carbohydrates first.
- six small meals every day.
- the same total calories every day no matter how many meals I eat.
- washed RAW fruit or “slow carbohydrates” for my carbohydrates, or...
- I can eat whole grain carbohydrates, or refined carbohydrates like white bread, regular pasta and white rice.
- I prefer eat refined carbohydrates in moderation.
- as many of these washed RAW veggies as I want with each meal
- I can eat cooked veggies, with moderate butter, healthy oils or other toppings.
- as many low calorie raw veggies as I want if I get hungry between meals, AFTER I drink 2 cups of water.
